What brings this shaft of moonlight
To my window pane this night
To drive away the shadows
Leave my room now bathed in light
So I sit here all in wonder at
The moon so far away
And though it soothes my sorrows
I know it cannot stay
The shutters of my soul descend
Adrift in a sea of dreams
As everything we see in life
Is not always as it seems.

Moonlight with all its magical beauty....

a mysterious luster that makes us all feel good about life or puts us in a romantic mood..

I must have the moon and stars after all I was born under a full moon!!

That makes me a restless creature of the night!!!

 Love ~ Scarlett

I really like this Graham. It has a certain feel to it. Like a sense of peace yet deep within like a sadness too. Something we want to grab onto yet is so far away, out of reach, yet within, if that makes sense? To me at least this is what brought forth deep inside. Either way this made me sigh and take a deep breath all at once.

Graham, is anything as it appears, for we are constantly interpreting what we think is true.  A beautiful poem of some mixed emotions, I feel the tranquility of the poem but as I get to the end I'm concerned is it all just a dream.  The more I think about it does it matter if it's real.  It calms my soul.  Tina
