Nothing Like His Father
A cold steel frame shakes a

trembling right hand.

I wonder did my heart devise

this healing plan?

Will love ones with my friends

finally understand?

When the world greets tomorrow am

 I the lesser man?

I was borne into this world with

 nothing.

I leave nothing but its pain and

suffering.
Author's Notes:
A very low point one time in my life
Maybe one I shouldn't even write.
or even try to share
for living is now very dear.
For God's love is very clear.
I discovered even His love here.

I began writing firstly to let out emotions that was over-filling my mind. Writing back then was like a friend to me, never judged me. Today, writing is a completely different matter to me. Yes, i do write from experiences, emotions and dreams but I write with passion and pride and love. Do not punish the world by hiding your writes. You have a great talent, many can only dream of, long for....

We all have been there...so much happens so many things change....

A poem I can relate to...Sometimes we just have to live through it and become who we are now..

A very complex write giving us a glimpse into your former life but one familiar to many of us, you may have been borne into this world with nothing Dan but I feel you will leave with a great deal and be remembered for what you are and not the shadow of your father~Graham.

You have written a serious poem that is a true expression of the sad and desperate feelings that I think all people have at times: especially poets.  Of course you should share your pain with others; yeah it's hard to do.  I'm just learning it myself.  But I think it helps when other people tell you they have been there.  You don't always have to be happy.  Without the down-times you wouldn't even know you were happy!  --David

Having had low points like this, all I can say is keep trying. people will be there for you, to help you step from the sinking sand, but you have to search. I think this poem is good and suggest to keep writing. People will feel compelled to comment on it and try to help you through such times. Good luck,

John

A deeply emotive write that conveys much in such short prose -- beautifully written

Dan, we all have those low and high point in our lives, and sharing those with friends will may ease the pain. So, anything could happen any time out of just "nothing". Thanks for sharing, ~Dean
