The Shrivelled Man
The shrivelled man sits on the floor,
He sits upon the tiled floor,
The shrivelled man hums a tune,
A lost man,
No more to lose.

He sits upon Piccadilly's floor,
He fights his battles,
He fights his wars,
He's neither rich,
Nor he's poor,
Shrivelled, upon the floor.

Passers by pay no heed,
Another hungry mouth to feed,
A silver coin or two an hour,
A cup of tea if he's allowed,
He sits crossed legged with his dog,
Passers by feel no wrong,
The shrivelled man hums a tune,
Another muted voice to lose.
