An Embrace Remembered ~Steve & Tina~

An Embrace Remembered

The last day, the last hour, our final moment was not the end. It was the start of time until the new day, a first hour, and our beginning moment."

"My heart aches for that moment, when once again, I can gaze into your eyes and know it is forever mine"

"Sleep is a struggle; it arrives carrying along your soft words and a presence that I cannot see but still feel your warmth”

"Upon waking, each morning I feel your precious kiss upon my lips lingering like that of the morning dew"

"As I open your letter a faint fragrance escapes and brings me back to our last embrace, then reality intrudes and loneliness becomes my companion”

"My Darling, please be strong for I am here holding you, loving you, like we never did depart, I am always by your side."

"The days have moved faster and emptiness is no longer my mistress, dreams no longer my reality, love is within my grasp.”

Author's Notes:
Steve (Lapoeta) Suggested we write a conversation of that of a soldier far from home with his beloved.  A wonderful experience.  Thank you Steve

This is great, you've done a wonderful job. Wish all the soldiers get back to their loved ones soon, though it seems far from the reality on the ground :-(

'An Embrace Remembered' is a beautiful and very special collaboration between to wonderful poets!  The topic is perfect.  The dialogue -- as if played in the mind...  And -- Thank G-d it had a happy ending -- I was afraid that...  Be proud of yourselves.  Terrific. Dramatic. Tender.  --David
