The day the town wore green
Months it's been,
Since I've seen thee,
The day the town wore green,
You looked quite fine,
I wish thee mine,
The day the town wore green.

We drank and danced,
Till orders last,
I lived a lovers dream.
Toe to toe,
The wind did blow,
The day the town wore green.

On that day,
That special day,
I confessed "I love thee,"
You smiled, we kissed,
I sighed with bliss,
The day the town wore green.
