Treachous Betrayal
She brought her plunging sweaty horse
finally to a sudden swift halt

Her trembling hands held tightly
the leather reins of her chestnut steed

She was angry it had stunned  her mind
knowing now his treacherous heart
really belong to so many others

What a silly foolish woman she was
to believe his heart was only hers

She bitterly swiping at the heartache tears|
of endless regret that seared her heart

like a steel hot sword  to kill

She was trembling inside her voice quivered
she pushed her tangled Autumn hair
away from her angry wet face

Thick tears matted her dark lashes together
she wiped away more trickling tears swallowing
back the shaken sobs in gasping breaths

Snarling winds snatched her crying words
of screams that were tearing out her mind

Like the sharp sword of final truth
that claimed her bloody slashed heart

She was now listening to her alerted mind
as if the mountains had swallowed her up
and her angry emotions bristled with shock

Just remembering his loving romantic words
she was shaking with all hells fury

She squeezed her eyes shut tried to ignore
the utter final shock
in her helpless heart
He left her with  silence with no remarks To explain
salty tears continued past her sable eyes

Her dark lashes running in betrayed tracks
down the sides of her shattered face

Once again.... She was the fool to believe....

She wasn't a fool -- she was fooled.  She was innocent and wise.  He was the damn fool.  --David
