The Deep Dark
Why won't they hear me?
Anyone.
I'm invisible, Bound, screaming underwater.

The Deep Dark is pulling me further-
Further into its false embrace.

Still, I peer up to catch fleeting rays through the murk.
I struggle futilely at my chains.

So Angry!
I hurl vile invectives at the fools so close.
Too far to Hear
Too close to See
Me Drowning.

I hate you all!
I hate you because you are Blind and Deaf.
I hate you, because I need you.
OH GOD how I don't want to NEED!

But...I hate me most of all.
The woman who cannot, will not help herself.

Will I implode before Darkness crushes me?
On the final descent.

One would have to be dead not to hear this and even the dead would find compassion.

I would like you to know this:

"There is not enough darkness in all the
world

to put out the light of even one small candle."

Writing seems to fill in the cracks in the authorís broken heart.

It's the bond for the readerís in need of a healing work of art.

you touch me deep with this one .

welcome too.

A great deal of pathos thrown into this work, you articulated the popular rage....the invisibility of the disturbed individuals. You seem an intellectual, I'm impressed with your mind.

WOW! That is a lotta emotion. I also really like how you show the emotion with capitals adn and how it just gets stronger and stronger. This is one of those poems I could literally see in my head while I read it. And I can't tell you how much I get hating needing to need people. Great poem!

Well, you know my comments when it comes to this poem, but I am glad to see you here and posting. I think that this is an awesome poem! unlike Thewarpoet, I know what inspired this poem, and think it is great that you found the courage to write about it as well as post it here for all of us to read. Thanks for sharing this, my friend,

John
