No Class
When a person comments on your work
be gracious and grateful....send a reply
for you want to have class, not be a jerk
because they appreciate how hard you try

But some people think they're just too good
to bother with a simple "thank you", it seems
being ignorant can make you misunderstood
you're above it all?....friend, in your dreams!

Just one thing I know sums it up, it's a cinch
for those, too good to return any kind of input
those who take by the yard and give by the inch
most definitely should be kicked by the foot!

Author's Notes:
It's the old story, it really grates on me when someone doesn't have the class or decency to return a reply, we all work hard here on CP, we deserve at least THAT consideration. Do y'all hear me....you know who you are!

Ahh, yes, we do expect others to respond as we would like them to and sometimes --- they just don't.  What can ya do?  Keep smiling and writing.  :o)  ~Pamela

Right on. And furthermore: what the rude persons don't realize is that by saying Thank You they better themselves.  Yes, it is right and proper to thank.  But more than that, it shows what kind of person you are.  Those who say nothing are stingy... at best.  A very down-to-earth poem, Len; one that speaks to our little community.  But will it have any effect on the offenders?  I hope so.  Even if just one person is moved to write one Thank You it will be wonderful.  --David

I know exactly what you mean and have gone as far as to let certain people aware of the fact but unfortunately it changed nothing but at least I felt better for trying I hope your poem fares better Len~Graham.
