Queen of Hearts WBC

The day Lady Diana died, a nation mourned

She was know as the Queen of hearts

A light in the dark of night

We cried that she departs.

Stunning revelations of passions unbound

Her affair with Dodi Fayed came to light

But we forgave her willingly

For Charles behaviour had not been right.

Meandering through my thoughts at the time

I thought of her work for those with Aids

And her campaign to remove land mines

She would not stop for love or money, her debts were paid.

Her haunting intoxicating scent blessed the poor and sick

Her resolve as true as the North Star

She was our Queen of hearts for sure

Snatched from us that night in a car.

What a wonderful soul she was.  This is an especial tribute to a saint.  I still miss here.  She was loved on both sides of this ocean -- and all the sides of all the others too.  Poor Diana.  Beautiful writing.  --David

WOW! It was a truly tragic day and that you would find such beauty in the words of a word bank is astounding. I guess it just goes to show inspiration can be found anywhere.

another shining example of what the words from the bank can dredge up from our hearts and minds.  She is a fond memory for so many because she was such a good person.  Her memory lives on in your poem...so many lovely and true thoughts about here.  Your poem is impeccable, rhythm and rhyme...thought and sentiment!  nice job!  (as always)

This brings tears... She was a fine lady.... dealt a bad hand...

not to live her life like she should have.... She was the Queen of hearts thats for sure!!!

Success pays a dear price but she gave so many hope and honest emotions about the people she wanted to help..Her life cut short but she left two fine sons!!!

This is such a great tribute to the ultimate Queen of Hearts. I cried my eyes out when she died.
Stunning word bank molded into a tribute.
