The Pyramids

The Pyramids

The pyramid twists slowly round

Atop the rolling desert floor;

Suspended high above the ground

What makes this structure sweetly soar?

Immense but barely without sound

The stones begin to drop and land;

For future races will be found

And used for mausoleum grand;

The pyramids were planted so

By beings of superior mind;

It is for us to learn and grow

And seek them out their kith and kind;

Wonder how the stones were planted

Hope for Man may just be granted...

Another world of wisdom.  You weave words into a unique cloth -- all your own.  What a joy to read!  --David

I do not really aspire to science fiction, but I do aspire to enjoying good poetry (I know, I am hilarious)
Great write and imagery of probably the buildings people wonder about the most.
