The Hour of Dusk

Here in the hour of  dusk

when everything is still

the silent sands beckon

with their amber hues

a demure invitation

the air holds itís breath

against the heather sky

waiting for that instant

gulls whirl and wheel

their anticipation rises

celadon waves tiptoeing

withdraw without a vestige

slowly the sun slips

below the edge of the world

leaving in its wake

cotton candy clouds

And the pedals of a flower closed up shop for another day.

Waiting on their friend to return the sky in her poetic way.

The last verse is excellent. The whole piece is, but that last verse closes this perfectly. As always, great job!

Beautiful. I want to be there, sounds like a peaceful place.

Great imagery.

This is a work done with pastel colours from the palette of a true artist. Well done.

I like candy cotton clouds, I also like pink elephants

floating round, but those special days in my life

have drifted with the winds of solace

It's all good just like this is....

An absolute joy to read -- your imagery is fantastic.  So peaceful -- pastoral -- I love it --
