Who Decides ... Me

And yet within the mortal man
a desire to be free
causes within his life long struggle
the perpetuity of a tree.
"I will not change!"
He denounces,
as he parts the midday sun.
"I alone decide my fate
at my command, I run.
The oak shall bend,
its roots give way,
my feet are firm I fear.
My thoughts ... I control
their wisdoms cause me tears.
Within my life it is my destiny.
You beg another's fate.
Never interfere without permission,
you'll only develop hate."
The man lives, alone he stands.
He challenges his own race.
This was the destiny that he had chosen,
the fate ... which he gave chase.

Author's Notes:
Pig headed old goat .....
(Just a quickie before I go to bed.)
I ... chase my own destiny.
Good-Night ... All Ya'all

Ah.  Your essential being is shown brightly -- here: if by way of backwards mirror.  God controls all.  We are divine puppets. Excellent writing.  --David
