Old Roads
I have walked old roads this day
that with the dawning dark
became ghosts of my past
and in a Sun's bright glare
were lost and gone forever
this has been my journey
a blink and centuries pass
within a single hour

I have walked old roads this day
on hard and bitter stones
seeking hungers deep and wild
in slowly passing eyes
where the father of shadows
spoke in whisperng darks
of a final path to solitude
and a lost redemptiom

I have walked old roads this day
to a future's cold hard dawn
to watch all our histories lie
in a single grain of sand
where the last chorus fading
echoes down the wind
and the last dreamer waits
for a single futile sign

I have always enjoyed walking you see so much when your walking within its presence....

Your expression of places always a mystery sometimes...

your visual language is so rewarding to the reader....Like I have said before you could write books!! You just have such a unique  style ...HUgs ~ She Whispers

Your words are very melodic, entrancing almost. I liked how you used--dawning dark...of my past and future's cold hard dawn. Interesting.
