Poetry In Motion...A Co-Write with Dan Mazurek

Poetic time can fly past through the night
An arrow piercing darkness while in flight.
Shine as brilliant as the sun
Stay the course 'til day is done.
Don't live in yesterday's pain and rain.
You will lose carrying a ball and chain.
Let go of the sorrow and the gloom
Perhaps you'll find you're a rose in bloom.
To have the petals plucked one at time eventually.
Where will love lead too with the thorns sensually.
Quietude of deep devotion
Filled with every and all emotion.
I am just a pawn between the queen and her king.
The walk of life lives in poverty represented by a ring .
Caught within deceptive weave
Though I wear my heart upon my sleeve.
Shall we meet between the covers of darkness?
To extinguish flames waxing away the hardness.

Wear the starry evening as a shroud

An attempt to keep our ardor unbowed.

Let's remove the old worn yoke of the past.

To look upward together as the first and last

Author's Notes:
It was my honor to write this with my friend Dan. Thanks for including me Dan, it was fun!

It's amazing what one can do under the influence of a krispy kream doughnut.
