Tinkling Music
hear the tinkling music from above
as fine old wood creaks underneath
each step pounds with rhythmic sound
piano keys strike bright
swirling dresses catch
dancing prisms of
colorful
crystal
light

Author's Notes:
My grandmother lived in a raised house and in her "formal" room she had a piano and chandelier. Every time you walked around in that room the chandelier would "tinkle" .

I was unsure on the punctuation/capitalization of this form...

If I hear tinkling from above it is usualy because the roof is leaking, but this is pure poetry. bravo.  Bill

This is great!  I love the feeling and the 'sound' and the form and everything!  Wonderful words and sentiment and story behind the poem.  Thanks for telling that story -- it is so nostalgic -- everyone can feel it.  What a memory!  --David
