Tha Old man Said. FF WBC

The Old Man Said.

"I know that verse from times long past"

The old man said to me

We walked and talked as adults do

Content to be, and see.

Oh that day was filled with rhyme

I just a boy, he so elderly

But our minds became as one

And I found tranquillity.

In his presence I would find

There are worse things to be

Than  growing  old, I know its true

For the old man said to me.

Very True Bill - The big blessing that I find is that you can chat up the bar maids with impunity and without the fear of rejection.

As the old man said when asked what it was like to be ninety...."Well, considering the alternative." :o) It's been said that the very old and the very young understand each other because they are both so close to the other side...Lovely write and thought, Bill...yer mate, lrn

Your so right Bill, age is just a number but I suppose 96 hasn't got a lot going for it

I like the positiveness with this.  Very happy to see participants in the WBC area.
