Humanity’s Glorious Gains

Bullets and beans

Starvation and war

Lies and letters

Ph.Ds. and more

Congress and law

Decrees and deceit

Religion and fate

Costs and receipts

Education and ignorance

Poverty and plush

Slow and steady

Glutton and rush

Cavemen and progress

Jets and attack

Sticks and stones

Let’s just go back

Author's Notes:

Have we really improved from being cavemen?

Interesting verses... your right not much has changed!

Our world is full of monsters who kill without care..

Our children are not even safe.... The world is twisted with fears and corruption ..

 We will destroy ourselves!!

We have nicer cars than they did,, :o) I guess we are what we are,,,the greatest and most dangerous creatures on the planet. Some of us are killers and some of us dedicate an entire lifetime to helping others....len

No.  We haven't.  In fact we could probably learn something from our cave ancestors.  At least they didn't hide their aggressive instincts.  They did express  them, aye,  but not with guns and not with nuclear bombs.  Still, I don't think I'm ready to go back -- yet; I've gotten too used to the soft life.  Hunting isn't for me.  And I like a bath now and then :)  Good poem -- excellent topic.   --David
