Insanity

Overdue decisions often rise up

into the throat

creating a calm heart but seem to shout inside

like the first aha! moment.

I am...

Determined to avoid foolish arguements!

Tell me the sky is red if that is your reality,

I will honor you.

Truth is easily expressed, eagerly understood.

While embellishment and untruth are loosely woven fabrics;

White cheesecloth to collect the truth

and strain out the lies.

Time always tells the truth.

So why not let time be our judge?

I am...

Determined to listen, forgive, and forget.

I have nothing to prove so take me at my word.

Recrimination is insanity

that builds a bitter and unapproachable wall

between two hearts.

A defensive move might be valued in sports,

keeping your opponent from scoring

but...

love is not a game...

and

there are no winners in foolish arguements.

	I think you have beautifully delivered one of the best take on 'insanity'. The beginning and the end tie amazingly. " a calm heart that seems to shout inside, can only believe that love is not a game, hence will bear most of the burden.... loved it, ~Dean Respond To This Comment
