Squandering Years
                                         Months turn into extending years
Squandering days drift into
the longest night fears

Winters snarling cold uncaring breath
Ice in the heart with no love becomes death

Spring awakens with budding leaves every year
bringing in the summer with its playful cheer

Autumn gusty painted twirling leaves
fall to the ground with the slightest cooler breeze

Twilight night shades slowly melting together
in the changing colors of the sunset swoon

Soon the night fingers will reach inside
trying to reach the enchanting moon
