Stand Strong
Through sandy dunes our eyes did pierce
this common foe of history's fists
For in the skies no birds shall sing
of whispering bullets, man made things.
My body shakes from head to toe
as another bomb takes forty souls
Stand strong we shout, screaming lungs
amongst the slaughter, ones so young.
Battered faces now draws us all
I watch my best friend take a fall
Stand strong he cries, blood filled eye's
I have to hold him till he dies.
Now in the shadows of the dark
I kill each one within my heart
Stand strong I shout, again, again,
to win this war, and stop this pain.
