Elephants In The Room -- Observations On Life/Non-Fiction

Not sure when it started
Not sure when it will end
Not sure about anyone
Even family and friends
Trusted bonds lie broken
Sense of security lost
Indecision and mistrust
Nothing definitive found
Where can we look to
For a guide in this life
Who can we turn to
For the solutions needed
Strong selfless leaders
No where to be found
Relevancy, the death
Of old leaders to be ignored
History to be not learned from
Or to not be considered
As the mistakes of the past
Are repeated with disaster
Life has changed to 'everyday life'
Strife, discontent and ill will are poised
To further complicate and
Lead to an inevitable chaos

Author's Notes:

Most do not want to see the problems (elephants in the room) on hand and choose to live 'everyday life' but are they really living?

I agree with your conclusion in the last stanza. Wish more of us questioned things.
