Made Me Feel Alive Again
For months as the seasons danced
To the music of falling leaves and bare trees,
did not realise the passing of time and all around
The orchestra performed without a conductor
The conductor was naked amongst the trees
mingling with leaves.
seemed in fluid motion with minds of their own
and indeed they had,
Just did not register in the mind of mine.
tardily went passed
moved with rhythm, lento
Until I felt a noticeable tremor!
didn't realise at first, took no notice
did not know it was indeed an earthquake
followed by eruption of the volcano
She spread the heat
With every path she beat
Nervous I felt as heat from lava began to greet
Could not escape
Had to face it, and not give up the seat
yet endure the heat
with pounding heartbeat
let the eyes meet
She showed me the pen
Alone I was in my den,
Could hardly breathe,
I was alive,
Again . . .
