Wearing a crown
She was in love with the moment he gave her. A fleeting moment when she could feel alive. In love with impression he made on her. Had it something to do with a real him? She could not know. She didn’t know him. Every time he came closer wanting to talk to her she compared him with the one he was that time when she could feel something. And he was different. Now there was no magic. She didn’t feel it. “Maybe - she thought- he is not trying hard. This means he is not interested in me anymore. If he were interested in me I would feel this magic again.” Was her ability to feel connected with his interest in her? What if he had interest but she could not feel it? While she was searching for the lost feeling she had to listen to so much crap he told in her presence. He was very proud of himself. He felt so confident when he saw her eyes looking at him. She listened to every his word. She liked to see him happy. He joked. And she laughed. He even sang a song. It was his moment of glory. He wanted to enjoy it. As if he was wearing a crown. He could notice nobody except himself. It was a one actor performance, he felt like a star. He played it for her searching for her eyes and not wanting her to notice it. He wanted her and was scared of making a step. Sometime he lost control of himself and touched her but then, scared of his desires he stepped back. And when he stepped back she missed him, longed for him again.
