Still ~*~ She Survives
Her earthly mannerisms and out right honesty
is what drew him first to her in such a strange way

Her poems were filled with deep wounded lows
extreme breathless passion with deep felt
passionate highs

A woman who had experienced life with great dept
of every emotion known to exist to the fighting heart
and the very naked soul of her womanly being

She was stubborn right to the very bones of her heritage
and would battle for what she loved and needed
to survive in the very jungle of emptiness

A gentle  heart was hidden among the flowing tears
that only the listening night would ever hear
and protect her secrets with endless nightshades

A proud woman at any cost would survive the swords
that attack without warning behind the eyes of deceit

There were times when she thought to herself

"My days of love and passion are past just like the
whispering winds that drift slowly by my heart "

Satisfied now with just simple pleasures of life
she now calls herself  just a mere country woman

The path of true love is mangled
with many problems along the way
it had taught her many things

Still .....She Survives
