Come and walk beside me one last time

Come and walk beside me one last time

I have just a few things I need to say

It was your loving eyes and gentle touch that help me make it through these last days

In my heart, the only thing I regret is I may have not told you enough

How much I loved you and how much you meant to me in so many ways

I did not wish to leave you walking beside of me this way

However, this is the way God has planned our last walk together for now I have to go away

One last time I need to thank you for all you did for me

It was right up to my last dying breath that not being able to love you was the worst thing about leaving you this day

Remember my love it took an act of God to make me go as you stand and watch without one last kiss from me

So from dust to dust and ashes to ashes and with a stone placed above may head

This will be the way I will be remember now that I have died and left you standing alone for all your days ahead

However, I cannot believe there is a heaven where there will be no memories of you

Therefore, know I will be holding you in my memories too

As you think of me in the coming days, remember you will only be one-step away from eternity

Until we will be back in love and this time, noting will be able to take you away my love
