Who Are We?
Who Are We?
Are we where we are supposed to be?
Are we becoming the best versions of ourselves?
Will we put who we were, up on the shelves?
Will you strive to make your dreams come true?
Will you be the one who is stuck, or the one who grew?
Who decides your fate?
Will you figure it out when it's too late?
Will the stars always light up your soul?
Will there always be pieces missing, making you wonder why you're not whole?
Will we make a difference in this world?
Or will we wake up one day and realize we are just living in a dream-world?
What makes us real?
Is it our honesty, compassion, and the ability to feel?
Is it our determination, loyalty, or our will?
Maybe it's that after time passes we are able to heal.
Maybe who we are is in the choices we make.
Maybe our paths are chosen from the promises we break.
Maybe we choose who we are.
Maybe we just let the world see this shell, a so called avatar.
Maybe we are afraid of stepping out of our bubbles.
Maybe we are cowards, not wanting to mess with other people's troubles.
Maybe we've been indoctrinated without even knowing.
To think that everything is okay and just to keep on going.
Who we are is what we stand for.
No one should be looked down on for helping the poor.
Who we are will determine our fate.
We must make a change before it's too late.
