the homeless population in our city

Live and let live Every man for themselves Easy to let those words fall off your tongue You don’t breath their air You don’t know their despair What is pride? Is it your brand new shiny car earned or not earned Your parents loved you I see their pride in your cherubic cheeks In your awards & gathered shining smiles That man over there He is a son, a father, a friend He has pride but you don’t breath his air He had awards but now sits on cloud covered streets. His awards are his memories You don’t know him do you He is all of us We are him
