Four Years Gone

It’s been four years since you left us here
Four years…that seems so long
The pain is still as fresh as then
Still can’t believe you’re gone

A mother’s heart is shattered; sore
A father’s heart is, too
Your siblings’ hearts are broken up
With the loss of you

Our lives have been forever changed
We’ll ne’er again be whole
But we can smile whene’er you cross our minds
As you bring joy to our souls

Each day is one step closer, dear
And soon with you we’ll be
Once again a family whole
Throughout eternity

Author's Notes:
Four years ago on March 28th we lost our daughter, Keri. The scars close up, but the pain never goes away.

Glata,  I can't imagine the earthly loss but like you rejoice in the assurance of the eternal reunion.       Bruce
