Covid 19
Red, yellow, blue, green
multi-colored lines can be seen
16,14,12 size tube
In every hole available in you
Beep, beep, beep…
The heart machine goes on
Shish, shish. Shish…
The lung machine says so
Tik-tok, tik-tok, tik-tok
The clock in the wall sounds
An eerie silence from you
In the room deeply resounds
Quiet steps down the corridor
Frontliners saunters down the hallway
In the darkest corners lies
The tiredness kept barely hidden
Your eyes are shut
Just Like you’re sleeping
But behind those closed lids
The struggle to stay alive is burning
Your voice is muffled
By tube down your throat
Cries remain unheard
As your stillness is bared
Hope barely hanging
Signs of life slowly fading
The best of ways to keep you alive
Maximized to beyond maximum

Death stalling
Mourning loved ones
Cries can be heard
From the farthest corners
Days are slowly dragged
And positivity creeps in
Bit by bit your aura returns
As color in your face turn pink
Smile as bright as sunshine
Laughter as loud as tiger's roar
Eyes shines like diamond
And voice of angel returns
Days like this makes us think
How life can be gone in a blink
You’re second life for our eyes
Means all our effort paid well
Thank you for staying alive
Thank you for hanging there
Thank you for trusting us
Thank you for smiling gain for us

dear Lady, thank you for sharing this experience with us.  It is so well written and gives us a glimpse of your struggling patient. Sheer joy is really felt when your patient turns the corner and wins his fight for life.

thank you for your work...staring death in the face and never giving up.
