Goodbye Blue Sky

Wishes made yesterday for milk and honey.

I gave a bottomless well pockets of money.

The mirror I duck reply: "I am looking old”.

Another life spent to submerged in the cold

Finality will return rays for sunset dreams.

As Eternity captures this morning’s themes.

I found dust to dust is a must.

People are the hardest to trust.

Silver tongues coated with rust.

Will never turn my heart to crust.

Author's Notes:
With a heavy heart I post one last poem for the record.  But will never let heart turn to crust. For writing poetry is the mirror of ones soul mate.

Dan, this is a very special post... meaningful, insightful and hopeful all gathered to inspire.....

Hope all is well and I trust you are doing well as well. I know I haven't posted any in a long time but I have been visiting my friends on CP from time to time.

Wishing you all the very best.

"Silver tongues coated with rust." This line has energy for me. I really like it.

And now we know that this doesn't have to be your last poem.  Write on my friend.

ok, Im the first to comment.  hopefully not the last. I really felt the sadness within these lines.

Its been a pleasure reading your poems and getting to know you.  Sad that the site is closing, isnt it?

Maybe there is a poetry section on You Tube. It seems to be where many of us are spending our time.  New crafts, new hobbies....Painting, quilting, book making, journaling, home decorating, gardening...the list continues.

take care, my friend
