Heart Song

I open my beak, release
A slow steady trill

A romantic melody

That begs to fly

To nest in your willing ear

A lark's heart song

Warm full-throated notes
That quiver with renewal

Keep singing your sweet songs, dear lady! I'm loving the tunes you express!
