As a boy, I looked above
and dreamt of those worlds beyond.
Those worlds so far, the risks so dear;
Adventures there for me to love.
That dream faded in reality;
But the heartís desire remained.
Were there still places to explore?
To seek new worlds, All unrestrained.
At age 19 , my answer came.
The worlds I sought were not above.
In the Navy, o'erseas, on a boat,
The world I sought was... 5 feet below!
Since then Iíve logged two thousand hours.
Iíve "flownĒ throughout my world of blue.
I've been amazed by natureís art,
Its stunning texture, variety and hue.
Strangely, this is a place of history,
Where clues are hid from sight.
Ancient worlds of eonís mystery,
Or sunken vessels from warís fight.
So much to learn, So much to see.
All within this world of blue.
Our lives depend upon itís health
Explore it, Enjoy it, Preserve the sea.
