Here (revised)
Here, where the world canít see me
where a man can once again be a boy
and a boy can rule the world.
Here, where a million times past
the opportunity showed her face
a face that weigh heavy on my volition;
I once again faced stumbling.
Not out of spite
or for clumsiness of heart.
Rather, I stumble out of a foolís respect.
None-the-less I respect her entirely.
So I dropped the sentence as it lie in my throat,
as not to be caught with it on my tongue.
For, to me, not saying it all is to say nothing at all.
Every utterance was by and by the truth
yet the truth was still never uttered.
What if, as it seemed in twilight repose,
it could be in reality?
Such a simple thing to forbade.
Just a feeling,
like a flower among many,
it somehow stood alone;
intimately isolated.
My will to ignore precious beauty grown threadbare through incessant wont.
If only were as clear my resolve as my internal yearning.
For what is now an inescapable actuality
was bore merely from an uninvited reverie;
another shooting star just out of reach.

'Every utterance was by and by the truth yet the truth was still never uttered'...why not? Why stifle the truth, I can't think of one good reason! 'another shooting star just out of reach', sweetie you don't have to reach for those, they come to you!! :)

I love the message of 'truth' in this poem, certainly the most important thing in any relationship or interaction. The line 'For, to him, not saying it all is to say nothing at all', very powerful and how great it would be for someone to belive and act accordingly. *****
