Secret Santa
I saw a little girl one day sitting in the snow and in her little twinkling eyes I saw a sort of glow she was talking to her dolly telling her her every wish and how she hopes that santa would get her christmas list soon I heard someone say "it's time for dinner dear" as she ran for home I saw her letter was still here I picked it up and read it it was the cutest thing of course she wished for all sorts of things in it she even wished for a horse but at the very bottom there was one more thing to see it said "p.s. santa all of this isn't for me it's for a little boy I met I think he's only three he lives with different people he has no family I'm afraid he won't get a present underneath the tree so bring him mine this year instead don't worry about me I have my family santa and I even have a tree" so I waited for that christmas night till there was no light to see I shimmied down the chimney and over to the tree there she lay sleeping just waiting to catch me I heard a tiny whisper coming from her lips "santa is that really you" "I left you chocolate chips" so I whispered softly "of course my dear it's me" I left you all your presents and some for the boy who's three" "I'll bring him them tomorrow as soon as I wake up" "don't forget to drink your milk it's over there in the cup" "thank you santa "I heard her start to say before she even finished I had snuck away that morning I saw her playing with the little boy who's three as I passed I saw her looking across the street at me in her eyes I somehow knew she would never know it was me just the smile on her face was reward enough for me just to see her playing with the little boy who's three

Soooo cute! It reminded me of when I was younger, writing letters to Santa. The magic of Christmas was definitely weaved into your poem. Great work!

Very good,I really enjoy how you keep the reader captivated. Great subject this time of year. There is more in giving then receiving especially to those less fortunate.
