Melancholy Red
Melancholy red my dear, dear companion you are all they have said.
Your presence excites me your sparkle sublime,
Today you will consume me you dear friend of mine.

When we are together the world fades away,
Yet only a few hours will you and I stay.
Together we'll mellow and reflect on the past,
Knowing our memories together will last.

When I first met you a lifetime gone by,
You pulled me from the pit and taught me to fly.
And now dear companion I can stand all alone,
Thanks to you my dear Claret I am almost full-grown.

I need you no longer but we will still stay friends,
Because at the end of the day when my stomach is fed,
It's still good to enjoy you dear melancholy red.
