Its HIS Story
When you open God's word, What is it you see?
Wondrous stories of how God loved you and me?
While all this is true, you should be aware;
That its His story: His Glory; and of human repair.

In Eden man fell, it was pride from the start.
'Twas an abyss twixt God and man's sinful heart,
Man's answer was to hide, to cover and lie;
God's response was shed blood, a beast had to die.

Away from the garden and all that they'd known,
To labor and toil, eke out life from the ground,
God loved his creation; they'd disobeyed him;
God's redemptive work, pay the sanction for sin.

Abraham and Isaac to Moriah were sent.
They built Him an altar, for an atonement.
No lamb did they have, Isaac was chosen;
God provided a ram, see God's future redemption.

Throughout the scripture you can see his work;
Using those who would willingly bend their knee.
As windows used He man, to tell His story;
They foretold His work, and gave Him the glory.

Noah and Samson, David, Micah and Paul,
Each one told a story how God loves us all,
Some pictured His redemption, some filled His plan,
The story is His, It's God's gift to man.

Remember next time when discussing His story,
Its not about us, its about God's glory!
We're not as important as we'd like to think.
God's work of grace pulls us back from the brink.

Our pride makes us prone to lust and desire,
If left to our own , we'd burn in hell fire.
If from our sins and death we want to be free.
God, through Christ, paid the price, He died on a tree .
