My Safe Place
I weather my emotions
With the worry of my day
I wear them in to 'morrow
'til they seem to fade away

Like the ticking of a timepiece
I'm aware of every one;
Simple seconds telling secrets
While the hours come undone

Lost in wonder, I escape then
To a place I only know
Where my weakness is not witnessed
And I'm always safe to go

On a beach or in a bedroom
True location is within
It's the temple of my kingdom
Where a nice guy, too, can win

We all need a safe place...'true location is within'...that is sooooo true!
We are all personally responsible for our emotions...as they determine our happiness in the temple of our kindgom.
Your mind is a marvelous place too Jake. Good stuff here!
