Touching With Words Part II
His love is raging, his stomach aching.
He's left his past for her.
He sits now waiting, nervousness abating
As she walks in through the door.

She strolls in beaming, her heart careening
Into her ribcage wall.
Her head is dizzy. Which one is he?
She stops to make a call.

He watches deeply with amused curiosity
As she fumbles with her phone.
His pocket rings. Her heart sings
His cover is blown.

She is frozen in place as she looks on his face
For the very first time.
She takes a deep breath, reaches into her depths
And takes a step toward the rest of her life.
Author's Notes:
I'm a sucker for a happy ending.
