A Life Cut Short
A word unsaid, a deed undone,
a life cut short before begun.
A tragic accident that occurred,
took your life, left us all shattered.
It's not supposed to happen
when you're only sixteen.
A life yet to live,
to fulfill all your dreams.

But Jesus has called,
you sit next to the Father,
The rest of us here
are now left to ponder.

God's greatest gift,His saving grace,
one day soon we will see your face,
smiling so happy as we take our place,
Next to God, our sadness erased.
Author's Notes:
A sixteen year old young lady who was my preacher's granddaughter was tragically killed in a car wreck on the 15th of April. I'm so saddened. My daughter will turn 16 on the day of the funeral.

This is so sad. It's wonderfully written. God will bring those who were close to her, back together again. *S* Cytnhia

Ah Gay:
That is so beautiful and so sensitive. A truly magical write. I hope you have given a copy of this to the preacher for the family to keep. What a wonderful dedication to this young lady. A life cut short, but to worry no more. For there are no better hands to be in than those of the Lord. Thanks. Bill

How sad for your preacher's family and all who share their loss. I will say a prayer for you all.. I know how you feel, we buried my mother on my sister's wedding anniversary, two weeks to the day after my son was born.. So I can totally sympathize, with all involved... So tragic..
Thank you so much for sharing for breath taking poem... Awesome write, my friend.
Thank you
