The Perfect Poem
Could I write the perfect poem
To take away the pain,
Lift up the perfect pen
And with it my life regain?

A poem with the rights words,
Perfect pitch, meter and rhyme,
Something worthy of releasing
This cold-comforted fateful mime.

With well placed word and phrase
Another year of hurt undone,
Another scar erased, a tear replaced,
A rewind from what I've become.

And each dip of my faithful pen
Will newfound joys inscribe,
But I falter and my hesitation
Does the true condition describe.

So I lower my imperfect pen,
Knowing it won't happen today,
And my perfectly crafted poem
Is another tearsoaked night away.
Author's Notes:
I've always expressed myself best through poetry, and wished that a could write just one poem that could set me free...

Jam this poem is great, I wish you the best with being free. But I don't think it comes in a poem in comes from within your self. Take care hon.
