Don't Know What To Think
I wish I could explain why I kissed you last night,
Or better yet, why I’ve wanted to for pretty much forever now.
I wish I could say something to make everything all right,
It’d be nice if it were that easy somehow.

But things aren’t always easy with us, are they?
We’ve had our share of problems and a few misunderstandings,
But we’ve always loved each other, forever, come what may,
Think we’ll ever manage to find a really safe landing?

Thinking, wondering, analyzing, wishing,
Like they do on Dawson’s Creek,
Which we like to spend our free time watching -
One of my favorite presents you’ve given me.

Can’t forget to mention all our wonderful times, such bliss,
All the love and laughter and poems and stories we remember,
Every day and everything filled with moments that I miss,
In a way, beginning one snowy morning in December…

But I must not start, for I’m sure I’ll write a book,
At least one, or maybe six or seven,
About the first few times I saw you and just looked,
Let me tell ya, baby, I knew that I’d found heaven.

So getting back to that kiss we shared last night,
I don’t really know what to say or think, except that when
You nodded your head “yes,” nothing could have been more right,
So instead of thinking, I’ll just kiss you again…

uncertainty, love, loss, heartache, sorrow, and those wonderful tear-filled kisses you see in the movies...
