Sometimes Jenny gets sad
Sometimes Jenny gets sad
And I want to hold her hand,
Hug her and squeeze her tight,
Tell her, "It will be alright."

I want to tell her that I care,
Enough to share her despair,
That she can unload on me
When she's feeling melancholy.

I wish I could give her a kiss,
To help restore her inner bliss,
To give her a sign to declare:
"Jenny you are without compare."

I don't know if anything I say
Can help turn the pain away,
But I say it to her nonetheless,
Hoping to bring sweet happiness.

And when she smiles at me
The whole world ceases to be,
Like a light shining from above
I know that she is my dove.

But sometimes Jenny gets sad,
So I take her by the hand,
Hug her, and hold her tight,
Lend her my strength to fight.
Author's Notes:
This is about a girl I used to go out with, who is now one of my best friends, but she gets depressed a lot...
