Waking To An Open Door
So tell me what it will take
To prevent this unwanted break,
What's stopping us from going back?
Is it something I'll always lack?

I was so scared there'd be a day
When I'd realise what is going on,
That the dream is over, the door is open,
And you, you're going, going, gone.

But it hasn't come to that, yet,
Of differences we've the whole set,
But it never stopped us before,
Love was the only required score.

Now I need more than I've got,
You won't settle for anything less,
But I can only ever be what I am,
That's the root of this whole mess.

How did this change? What did I miss
While I was dreaming of your last kiss?
But I guess maybe it really is too late,
And I'm tired of second-guessing fate.

So just kiss me one last time,
Let me dream one minute more,
Dawn is breaking all too soon,
And I'm waking to an open door.

Dunno what else to say really :)
