Won't Read These Lines
I just can't seem to tell you
All the things that I want to,
I stumble and fumble with my heart,
What I say and feel are worlds apart.

And I'm messing this up bad,
Telling you I'm crazy and sad,
It's so far from what I want to say,
I hoped for words to sweep you away.

I was thinking of you most of the vac,
Trying to make up for things I lack,
Hoping for it to come to a quick end,
For you to see me as more than a friend.

I always wear my heart on my sleeve,
Without it there I can't believe,
But if you want I'll wind myself back,
Be just a friend without a crack.

This is what I was trying to say,
But never found courage yesterday,
And all I want in response is what's true,
All I really want is you.

So in this story the hero's
Stuck in a heart-wrenched whirl,
But won't you read ahead and tell me,
Does he ever get the girl?
Author's Notes:
This was for the same girl as "Your Eyes" (That's what's with the kinda weird title), and part of a series the titles of which spell out "Your Eyes / Won't Read These Lines / I Wrote For You"
