A Poets Prayer
When I lay down in my bed tonight I know there youíll be.

My angel from heaven, a gift from God sent to look over me.

You smile dries all my tears; your arms wrap around me and strangle my fears.

I thank the lord for your love every single day, even though my friends try to put me down, saying that a good thing is never meant to stay.

But every time I fall into your eyes I know that I wont stray.

During the winter your body and smile keeps me warm.

During the summer your personality and spirit keeps me cool.

During Christmas you add the magic that I left in childhood.

Perfection is an impossible word itís status cannot be achieved, but if ever something came close, you know itís you and me.

Is this a poem or is it a prayer? Some words do rhyme yet all are filled with care.

Heaven giveth and heaven taketh away, but until itís happens Iím here and here to stay.

And I, for one, am glad that you are here to stay. Good
poem. If He has given you that gift of writing and verse,
Then write you must and give Him the glory.
