Mother's Love
A woman walking down the road.
Swinging her hips to and fro.
Aware of the gaze in the man's cold eyes.
Hoping *he* doesn't see her lies.

The man whispers in her ear.
She trys to draw in her fear.
Then they walk down the road.
One a whore, the other a toad.

As they enter the cold, empty room.
The light flickers, casting shadows in gloom.
The man reaches out, with his cold cruel hand.
The mind retreats to an enchanted land.
Hours have gone, like sand through glass.
The man has left, finally at last.
She slowly stood up, money in hand.
Hoping that *he* would someday understand.
She reaches a hand to the door.
Not looking at the soul, battered on the floor.

She must reach home, for *he* might wake.
*He* must not see that she's a fake.
She reaches her home, her beacon of light.
That calls to her gently in the night.

She walks quietly, to the sink.
Scrubbing away, the makeup and stink.
She hears a sound and turns around.
There *he* is, standing tall and proud.

Noooo!, she screams, in her mind.
*He* cannot see me like this, my son of mine.
She falls to the floor, hard on her knees.
And her heart begin's to freeze.

Oh my son, I beg thee.
In your heart, forgive me.

We need this money, to keep you here.
To have enough, to buy a cure.
O' my darling, cant you see.
How can I live, if you leave me.

She looked up then, into his eyes.
Seeing the wisdom, of one to die.
He walks to her then, pain in his face.
And enfolds her in his angels grace.

Mommy mommy hear me please.
Let me tell you of my dream.
I was in heaven, flying high.
Through the clouds in the sky.

I did not hurt, there was no pain.
But in my heart, I felt your shame.
So I came back home, I came back here.
To tell you mommy, ill always be near.

He reached out a hand, to her heart,
Melting the frost that kept them apart

Mommy Mommy, Mommy dear.
Hold your head high, have no fear.
I love you, and always shall.
Lets leave the past, and live in the now.

He held her then, hand in hand.
She stared at him, her little man.

She held him then, and began to cry.
For she knew, he soon would die.
For there never would be a cure.

Only that of a mothers love, shining pure.
