This title may lead you to believe
That human rights apply to all husbands and wives,
But the title is there only to deceive
So that you won’t think about the cruelty in our lives.
It is true when they say, “life is unfair”;
I have experienced that many times through the years.
No one, except my family, has shown they care,
Which has caused me, in pain, to constantly shed my tears.
I have had very few friends in the past,
Which means I have always been on my own.
With me, relationships do not last;
It is like an episode of the “Twilight Zone”.
My parents and I have never gotten along;
They do everything possible to make my life a living hell.
They are always “right” and I am always “wrong”;
So that is why I feel like I am confined to living in a jail cell.
I know what I must do to get away from it all,
And to get the freedom that I have been searching for;
Talking to me will be like talking to a wall
 Because there is nothing for me to live for anymore.
