We Share Our Deepest Thoughts
We share a part of our lives Every time we sit and write As we expose our deepest thoughts And give others an insight The written word holds many powers And they can cause a heart to melt As they orchestrate our feelings So many emotions can be felt Words often have the ability To make us reach for the sky Some words are filled with sadness Which can make the reader cry A picture will unfold Right before your very eyes Words of love and romance Cause one's heart to grow in size I am forever the romantic From my heart and soul I share As I continue on life's journey My words will take you there
Author's Notes:
I have only been here at Creative Poems for less than two months and during this time I have met so many talented people, many of them half my age. I have received nothing but the warmest of welcomes since my arrival for which I am truly grateful. I dedicate this to an extremely talented young writer named Jake Parsons and I encourage you to read his inspiring words if you have not already done so. "The words of a poet can speak volumes 'tho no words are actually spoken. He has the ability to make a connection with the heart" -Sue Tancheff-

I do not think I have read Jake, but I will now.
You have a lovely way about expressing yourself, Sue, so we love to read and be uplifted, moved or whatever.....

The power of words...something I appreciate each and every day.

This is lovely Sue, you have covered many of the emotional subjects that poets write about...and you couldn't have dedicated it to a finer person, Jake's poems do make a connection with the heart.

What can I even say? I think the only way I can be objective is if I pretend I didn't read the "about this poem". I will just say that it's a great poem that holds a lot of truth (about both me and about the wonderful people on the site). Thank you from the bottom of my heart are a true friend and a wonderful writer!
