Special Poetry Contest Poems

Special Contest poems are submitted by members and rated by a two panels of anonymous members.

Special Contests are held for previously announced special events. Special rules requirements for entries may be in force and writes are sometimes required to be on a particular topic. Special Poetry Awards are based on creativity, originality, meaning, spelling, punctuation and format of the entries. Formatting, backgrounds, images, and music are removed and will not influence the poems rating. The raters will only see the text version of the poems submitted. The author's name may not appear in the text.
Each user may enter one poem to each Special Poetry contest. The number of winners depends on the number of entries.

The number of awards chosen and special prizes, if awarded, will vary depending on the announced terms of the contest. These will generally be found in the Forum.

The creative-poems Special Poetry Award will be displayed alongside winning poems.

The current winners will be displayed on the 'Special Award Poems List' on the left side of the site.

To submit a poem you wish to enter, please go to "Manage Poems" on your right side control panel. You will see the option to submit to the "Featured Poems" list. Select your poem. For the poem type, choose "Special Contest", we'll do the rest!
