WHAT'S NEW AT CREATIVE-POEMS.COM?
First, if you've been here for a while you've noticed changes to our site's appearance and navigation. We've taken time to reorganize our many site functions and links to provide you with more convenience and control over appearance. By default, the category and poem lists are no longer expanded, but you can select those you typically use. They'll expand and remain that way, even if you logout, until you de-select them. The User panel was also streamlined for your convenience. Relate functions and lists were grouped together, for example, as in Site Resources. We hope you appreciate the new navigation and look forward to reading any comments and suggestions you have in the Forum
Our Terms of Service was recently modified, to update requirements for the use of Links and URLs, affecting all who use them in poems and profiles. These are never to be used as the sole reference for graphics, music, or other external digital items you may use. They may not be used to direct users to pornography or malicious code. Users are reminded not to click on suspicious links or URL's anywhere on this website. We recommend all review the TOS.
Comments are of great importance to our user community, comment tools were improved. Members can now view their last dozen individual and group comments. An indicator is provided showing which comments have been replied to. In addition, a private view of historical statistics for your account are provided to assist each member in determining how often they have replied relative to their peers. We wish to encourage all to reply to comments on their work. Our goal is to maintain an environment where each member strives to improve their product.
Our Poetry Event Calendar is publically viewable as a place for information about upcoming poety-related events. Anyone can advertise on- and off-site events. A mini-version of the Calendar exists on our home page which expands to full-size when one clicks on the current month. Users or members can send a note to Administration to advertise an poetry-related event. Premium subscribers can directly add their events directly. More information is available in this Forum post!
NEWS FROM OUR CREATIVE MEMBERS!
Tracy Leigh Ball announces the release of a fiction novel and a poetry book called "The Disappearance of Vera Dressler" and "Dancing With Words" respectively, from Publish America. Both books are to be published in December for both books. Congratulations, Tracy!
